Introduction

Larke Peak Climbing (6249m) is a recently introduced trekking peak by the Nepal government for trekking enthusiasts in the Manaslu Region of Nepal. This adventure is a perfect mixture of rich cultural heritage, rolling green hills, rich wildlife, unexplored Himalayan beauty, and a rich mountain of biological diversity. Situated at the mid-northern Tibet border of Nepal within Gorkha District, it offers stunning views of mountains like Manaslu, Buddha Himal, Himal Chuli, Ganesh Himal, and Ngadi Chuli. It is considered one of the most challenging peaks to climb in Nepal and the route to Larke Peak leads over the Budi Gandaki River valley, innumerable rivers, cultural villages, and waterfalls, offering the chance to enjoy some bathing pools.  Manaslu Region has its own amazing natural beauty that every trekker admires. The diverse cultures of the Tamang and Sherpa communities and their traditions make the journey a fascinating and memorable one. The trail to Larke Peak is full of stunning views of the Himalayas and natural aspects which makes sure you carry wonderful memories to cherish later in your native land.

Larke Peak Climbing starts from Kathmandu followed by a drive to Arughat. From Arughat we follow the route to Lapubesi and reach Khorlabesi. We follow several villages like Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Samagaon, Manaslu Base Camp, Samdo, Dharmasala, Larkya La, High Camp, and finally the summit of Larke Peak at 6,249m. On reaching the summit, you'll get to witness amazing nature surrounding you and breathtaking views of mountains you've never seen before. You can also have a stunning view of the border of Nepal and Tibet and the surrounding beauty which needs special permits to enter. Larke Peak Climbing will give you amazing memories you've never admired before. We descend back to Arughat and drive back to Kathmandu to end our adventure.

Food

During your time in the hotel in Kathmandu, your breakfast is included and you've to cover Lunch and Dinner on your own.  On the trek, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided and you can choose from menu cards including typical Nepali food, Italian, Tibetan, continental, and Indian at teahouses. During the climbing period, we will prepare the meals for you.

Accommodation

While you're in Kathmandu, we provide a 3-star hotel for you with a luxurious facility.  During the trek, our guides will pick the best lodges/teahouses for you to stay overnight. All the accommodations will be on a twin-shared basis with a shower and the toilet will be on a sharing basis. Our team provides you with a sleeping bag, and two sharing tents with a clean and comfortable mattress for an outdoor camping trek at a higher-elevation. Our Guide/team will set up your camp.

Day 01- Kathmandu Arrival , alt .1300m.

After your arrival at the Tribhuvan International airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel in our private vehicle. You can check-in to the hotel and take a rest if you're tired after a long journey. In the evening you can stroll around the Thamel market for shopping. Overnight stay.


Day: 2  Trek Preparation

On your trek preparation day, we'll take you to the famous historical sights in Kathmandu valley where you will get to visit Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Bouddhanath stupa which is all famous world heritage sites. We go back to the hotel and do trek preparation and spend overnight with delicious dinner at the hotel.


Day 3 : Drive to Arught 7-8 hrs

We leave Kathmandu behind and start our journey to Arught on a tourist bus. The first part of the journey is relaxing as we go through the main highway and a rough path leads you to Arughat from Gorkha. Overnight at Arught.


Day 4 : Trek to Lapubeshi 880m

We start our walk early morning which takes you through the pleasant forest landscapes before reaching Lapubeshi. It is 6 hours of a pleasant journey through several human settlements and forests to reach Lapubeshi for overnight stay.


Day 5 : Trek to Dovan– 1080m

You'll see the first rays of the sun hit the big peaks in an amazing red glow from the guesthouse. Today, we'll head towards Dovan and enjoy the taste of local coffee. Overnight at Dovan.


Day 6 - Trek to Jagat 1400m.

Today's trek takes you to Jagat with some ups and downs. Jagat is famous for maize, potato and climbing beans so we can enjoy different recipes of local products in Jagat. We have to make sure our permit and after all the process, we go to the guesthouse for overnight stay.


Day 7 : Trek to Eklebhatti 1600m  

After lite breakfast at the guesthouse at Eklebhatti, we continue trekking through bamboo forests to reach the small village of Eklebhatti. We can catch a few glimpses of high mountains from our stopping place. Overnight stay.


Day 8 : Trek to Bhi Fedi 2050m

Descend walk for 5-6 hours to reach our stopping point. We conclude today's gradual walk at Bhi Fedi and spend overnight.


Day 9 : Trek to low gaun 6 hrs 2930m.

Our trail goes passing several beautiful villages on the way and experiencing greenery this beautiful region, we reach a beautiful village called Low. We can have a stroll after getting there where you'll find WiFi service and beautiful landscape of mighty Mt. Manaslu with Sringi Himal.


Day 10 : Trek to Samagaun 3500m

Today's walk takes you even more close to our main destination.  We start our walk from Low Gaun to another beautiful village called Samagaon. We come across several wonderful villages and viewpoints of Manaslu, Shyala during our walk to Sama Gaun. Overnight at a lodge in Sama Gaun.


Day 11 : Rest day

We've been walking from the past few days, so we need rest for the day to get used to with high altitude and to prevent high altitude elevation. It is better to be prepared before going to a higher elevation. We rest for the day at Sama Gaun. 


Day 12 : Trek to Samdo  -3780m

The walk starts from Sama Gaun and heads north and parallel to Budi Gandaki River. The trail goes through the summer herding area of Khormo Kharka, from where we can enjoy the stunning view of Manaslu from the mani wall. We continue further via the pasture field to reach the beautiful settlement of Samdo and spend overnight there. 


Day 13 : Trek to Larke Peak base camp 4800m

On the way to Larke Peak Base Camp, we pass another trail to Tibet to the right side and climb left after a mani wall through the juniper forest and pass some of the stone shelters. The walk is moderate to reach the base camp. Overnight stay. 


Day 14: Rest and summit preparation day

We need to be well prepared and trained before climbing the beautiful Larke Peak at 6,249m. Our team will give you the best training and assist you with all the climbing techniques. You can rest for the day and prepare mentally for tomorrow's adventure. Overnight stay. 


Day 15 : Summit of Larke peak and back to base camp 10 hrs 6,249m.

Here come the tough and one of the most important days of our entire trek. We are going to step on the majestic Larke Peak perched at an elevation of 6,249m. From the top, you can enjoy the pleasing views of Himlung (71260m), Kang Guru (6981m) & Annapurna II (7937m, and other mountains. We trek back to the base camp for overnight stay.


Day 16 : Trek to Bhimtang  3800m.  

We descend to Bhimtang from the base camp and you can still get a few stunning views of Himlung and Cheo Himal, Menjung, Gyagi Kang, Kang Guru, Annapurna II, and other mountains. The trail goes steeply through the snow-covered trail to reach Bhimtang for overnight stay.


Day 17 : Trek to Darapani 2400m

We follow the same trail and descend through pine and rhododendron filled forests. The trail can be a bit tough as we come across the landslide area, but the overall trail is good and scenic to walk. We conclude today's trek at Darapani for overnight stay.


Day 18 : Drive back to Kathmandu via Beshisahr

This is the last day of this beautiful pristine region. We go back to busy Kathmandu via Besisahar today. After a long journey, you can rest for a while and go out in the evening for the Thamel market excursion. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.


Day 19: Final Departure

The final day of the trek. Our team will drop you to the airport for your flight back home.
