Introduction

Located in the northern part of Nepal in Manang district,  Pisang Peak is the most popular climbing Peak among the trekking peaks in Annapurna Region. It lies in between the giants Annapurna I and Manaslu both are over eight thousand’s meter high. From the summit of Pisang Peak, 6091m, one can witness the spectacular panorama: Himlung, and Manaslu, Khangaru, Annapurna II, IV, Lamjung, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Glacier Dome, Tilicho Peak, etc. This peak stands in the shape of Pyramid and adventure to Pisang offers the excellent taste of wider varieties of Tibetan culture, tradition, unspoiled climate and geography. During Pisang Peak Climbing, we also come across the highest Pass in Annapurna Circuit Trail: Thorong La Pass (5,416m) which features pristine arid landscape, small valleys, dazzling massifs, and serene beauty. Pisang Peak is considered an easy trekking peak to climb but you need to have good physical and mental health and previous trekking experience. The best months for climbing Pisang Peak are from March-May and September-November which is peak season as well.

Pisang Peak Climbing starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syange/Jagat through bumpy, and rustic road. From Syange, the trek heads further following the Annapurna Circuit trails through beautiful villages: Dharapani, Chame, and Pisang, where we acclimatize and our expert climbers will train you before climbing Pisang Peak. The summit of the Pisang Peak is the best part of this trek which offers the pristine scenery, picturesque landscape, and sparkling peaks.  Our return journey leads to Jomsom via Thorong La Pass from where we take scenic mountaineering flight to Pokhara.

Food

Most of the Teahouses offer you a wide variety of meals whereas teahouses situated at higher altitudes may not be able to offer you the same menu. A variety of bread, cereals and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast. Lunch includes a selection of salad, pasta cooked vegetable dishes, and bread, etc. Dinner comprises soup,  meat, rice, variety of cooked vegetables, and pasta dishes, etc as per your section and as available. During your stay in Kathmandu, you'll have numerous food and restaurant options to choose from. During the climbing period, there won't be any lodge or teahouse to provide you food, so we'll provide you a kitchen crew to provide you a quality and delicious food.

Accommodation

During Pisang Peak Climbing, you'll find numerous clean and friendly Lodges along the trail. Rooms are basic with just a bed with a pillow and blankets. All the teahouses en route the trekking areas are locally run with basic facilities to some even providing luxury options. Nevertheless, these Teahouses are very cozy and comfortable with Showers, Electricity to charge, WIFI is available on most teahouses with an extra charge. You'll also have to spend a few days in a tent. We'll provide and set a tent for you, it will be of 2-sharing. During your stay in Kathmandu, you'll get a luxurious service.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu , alt. 1300m

Upon your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu, we'll receive you and transfer you to the hotel in our private vehicle. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.


Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing

On day 2, you'll meet our climbing guides and other fellow climbers where we'll discuss the climbing condition, difficulty, environment, and so many other things. If you have any doubts regarding your adventure, you can ask them and then we'll go sightseeing in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, and Swayambhunath. We go back to the hotel, shop in the local market of Thamel and spend overnight.


Day 03: Drive to Bagarchap from Kathmandu (2019m.)

Today we will drive to Bagarchap from Kathmandu taking 8 to 9 hours. On your arrival at Bagarchap, you will feel the peaceful environment and surrounding scenery will mesmerize you. Overnight at Bagarchap.


Day 04: Trek to Chame    (2655m)

The trek finally starts from Bagarchhap where we'll be walking up to Chame for today. We go along a few steep forested ridges and landslide areas to reach Chame. You'll see natural hot-spring water on the way and if we got time, we'll take a bath also. Overnight at Chame.


Day 5:  Trek to Pisang   (3150m)

While walking on a steep trail to Pisang, we can enjoy the outstanding views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m). We can also enjoy small natural hot springs which should help us relax for a while. Then we reach Pisang and spend overnight.


Day 6:  Rest day at Pisang

On the way to Pisang, we have to walk through the thick forested area. This is your rest day at Pisang where you can rest as much as you can enjoying the stunning view of gigantic peaks including Lamjung Himal from your guesthouse. Overnight stay.


Day 7:  Trek to Pisang Base Camp (4380m)

The trail to Pisang Base Camp leads you through Upper Pisang village and ascends through thin wood and field to a Kharka (4,380m.) which is a plane alpine section where we will set our camp and spend overnight.


Day 8:  Trek to High camp (5400m.)

Today we climb to the southwest edge to reach High Camp from Pisang Base Camp which is 4-5 hours of journey. While others setting a camp, you can take time and enjoy the surrounding around high camp. Overnight stay.


Day 9: High Camp – Summit (6091m) – Base Camp (4380m)

This is the most important day of the entire itinerary where you are going to step on the pinnacle of the Pisang Peak.  Spectacular views including Himlung, and Manaslu, Khangaru, Annapurna II, IV, Lamjung, Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Glacier Dome are remarkable from the top. We go back to Base Camp for overnight stay.


Day 10: Trek to Manang  (3435m.)6 -7 hrs

After a remarkable day at the Pisang Peak, you'll be walking to the beautiful village called Manang where you'll see Tibetan influenced culture and historical monasteries. We enjoy our dinner in Manang with spectacular Himalayan views.


Day 11 : Trek to yak kharkha  (4040m) 4-5hrs

Today, we'll walk up to Yak Kharka which passes through Yak pasture fields and magnificent forest. You can still see the beautiful mountains: Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Chulu West, Chulu East Gangapurna to the South, Tilicho to the West, etc. Overnight at Yak Kharka.


Day 12 : Yak kharka to Thorung  high camp  (4750m / 4-5  hrs.)

Continuing on the same trail takes you to Thorung High Camp today and we still have the splendid scenery of the mountains. We conclude today's trek at Thorung High Camp and spend overnight.


Day 13: Cross Thorung La (5416m) Continue to Muktinath (3800m) 7-8 hrs.

It is going to be a long day where we'll cross the highest pass Thorung La at 5,416m and visit one of the holiest temples of the region, Muktinath on the same day. After a long and tiring walk, we can rest at the hotel. Overnight stay.


Day 14: Muktinath to Jomsom (2710m / 4 hrs.)

We visit Muktinath temple early in the morning and head down to the Kaligandaki river valley until we reach Jomsom. It is a short and calm journey where you can also visit small monasteries on the way. Overnight at Jomsom.


Day 15: Flight: Jomsom – Pokhara to 30 minutes.

Finally, we fly to Pokhara from Jomsom which is around 30 minutes of flight. After reaching Pokhara, we'll say goodbye to you and with a lot of memories, our team will drop you to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
