Trek Overview
Introduction
Three Passes Trek is another trekking wonder to let you indulge in the snowy and mountain vibes of the Everest Region of Nepal. The Three Passes Trek is arguably the most complete trek in the Everest Region as it covers most of the Everest region on its circular route. This itinerary is specially designed for adventurer seekers which include all three high passes Kongma La (5535m), Cho La Pass (5330m), Renjo La Pass(5360m). Including three high passes, Everest Base Camp, hike to Kala Patthar and Gokyo Ri; and Gokyo Lake exploration is the other major highlights of this trek. Three Passes Trek also introduces us to pristine Nangpa La Valley, the Sherpa village from Marlung and the monastery village located at Thame . Stunning views of mountains including Amadablam, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, etc can be seen from the trail. It is a physically challenging adventure where you've to take several ups and downs in a slippery and rocky path sometimes, so previous trekking experience is required to sign up for this trek. Although the weather of Three High Passes keeps on changing, months of Mar-May and Sep-Dec are the best for this trek.
The thrilling adventure to three high passes begins at Lukla and follows Dudh Koshi valley which leads you to the capital village of Namche, trading hub of Everest Region. After ascending via Thame and Marlung, we cross the first pass of our trek, Renjo La Pass and reach Gokyo. Hike to Gokyo Ri is one of the most beautiful experiences of this trek which provides the best view of majestic mountains, holy lakes, glaciers, and mesmerizing Gokyo Valley. Amazing view of pristine Gokyo Lake will make you fall in love with this place again and again. Then we continue our trek via Thagnak and Zungla to cross the second pass of our trek, Cho La Pass. The trail continues towards the major highlights of our trek, Everest Base Camp and hikes to Kala Patthar and finally, we cross the final pass of our trek, Kongma La Pass. Then we hike down to Lukla via Pangboche and Namche. The scenic flight from Lukla takes us to Kathmandu which is the ending point of our trek.

Everest Base camp and 3 passes
Something I thought I would never be able to do turned into the trip of a lifetime - one of the highlight events of my life.
No two days the same, stunning scenery wherever you looked and, if you don’t mind the odd 4am wake up call, the most beautiful awe inspiring views of sunrise over Everest/Lhotse/Ama Dablam - memories to last forever. Some days tougher than others but the effort was always rewarded.
Our guide Bharat (walking knowledge base) and porter Kishor (superman) were great. After 2 weeks trekking it was hard to say goodbye.
Nature Explore from booking to farewell dinner in Kathmandu provided a personal service that made you feel like a friend rather than a customer. Now looking to do Annapurna circuit with them.

Amazing few weeks with nature explore! 360 mountain views everyday and first class service every day. Our guide Bharat was fantastic as was Dinesh during our Booking process. This
Is the second time I have used nature explore and already thinking about my third time !
Our porter Kishor Karki was fantastic. So glad to have spent our time with him - had great fun bouncing English/Nepalese off each other . We will miss him.
If anyone is thinking about 3 passes trek , cannot recommend nature explore more. Really tough, but fantastic! Arrive as a client , leave as a friend.
