Trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp starts after 35 minutes of flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport, which is also known as the most dangerous airport in the world. Then our real adventure finally starts. We move along with the Dudh Koshi river to the Sherpa settlement of Namche Bazaar and stay there for proper acclimatization and exploration. We follow the same route of Everest Base Camp till Pangboche and ascend from Pangboche to the alpine camp on the flanks of the Ama Dablam Base Camp. Months of Mar-June and Sep-Nov are the best months for this trek. Food
Food facility during Amadablam Base Camp Trek will usually have breakfast and dinner in the Tea House and lunch will be at one of the restaurants on the way. Every teahouse provides the traditional Nepali meal Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), as well as a variety of different menu options such as potatoes, rice, vegetables, noodles, pizza, soup, pasta, and French fries. Snacks, soft drinks, and beer are available in most of the Tea Houses and trail side restaurants. And of course, coffee and Nepali milk tea are served everywhere. During your Kathmandu stay, you'll have a variety of food options to choose from.
Accommodation
Accommodation during Amadablam Base Camp Trek will be at teahouses/lodges. The lodges are fairly basic with twin beds, pillow, blanket, etc and very little additional furniture. The bathroom will be on a sharing basis and toilets can be either squat type or the western version. Most of the teahouses also provide hot water for bathing. Some teahouses now also have electricity for charging small appliances, mobile phones, and cameras with extra charge. During your stay in Kathmandu, you'll get a luxurious service at a 3-star hotel.
