Introduction
Standing tall at an elevation of 5,320m, Tilman Pass is one of the challenging mountain passes of Nepal that connects the Tamang valley of Langtang with the sacred lakes of Panchpokhari. A trek to Tilman Pass offers an amazing view of Langsisha glacier, extremely remote Jugal Himal, tranquil sacred lakes of Panch Pokhari, etc. On the way to Tilman Pass, you'll get to witness, panoramic views of stunning Langtang and Lirung, Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Langshisa, Gaurishanker, Naya Khanga, Yala peak, Dorje Lakpa, etc. It is a thrilling adventure that goes through the ethnic Tamang villages and adventurous trail over the Langtang valley and Kyanjin Gompa. Heading through the Langtang National Park allows you to get the fascination of rare flora and fauna. If you're lucky enough, you'll encounter different species of animals including Red Panda, Mountain Thars, blue sheep, Bears, Leopard, Jackal, pheasant, Monkeys, wild boar, peacock. The best months for this adventure are March, April, May, September, October, November, etc.
The trek to Timlan Pass commences with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi which is one of the popular trekking trails of the Langtang region. The trek leads us through Lama Hotel, Langtang village, Kyanjin Gompa, Langsisha Khara, Tilman Pass base camp and finally reach Tilman Pass at 5,320m. After reaching Langtang Valley, you can visit the local cheese factory and 400-year-old Buddhist Monasteries and learn about their history. The crossing of Tilman Pass is technical and involves the need for mountain equipment like ropes, crampons, and other tools. After crossing a high pass, we descend down towards Panch Pokhari and explore the best of it. Then we descend down to several villages and forests to reach Chautara and fly to Kathmandu.

Food
Most of the teahouses are run by local people who provide you with good bed, breakfast, lunch, and dinner facilities with warm hospitality. The teahouses provide a variety of on-site prepared hot meals. You'll have a food option of typical Nepali, Tibetan, Nepalese, Chinese, and even Indian and Italian dishes at the tea houses. On the camping trek, we'll provide excellent cooks to prepare hot and delicious foods for you. Our experienced cook will prepare both western and eastern dishes for you.
Accommodation
The accommodations during Tilman Pass Trek will be hotels, lodges commonly known as tea houses, and camps. Most rooms are on a twin-sharing basis where you'll get a mattress, pillow, sheets, and blankets and they even provide extra blankets upon request. Teahouses in this region are well managed and run by local people and a few of them even provide Western facilities like hot showers and flush toilets. In high altitude, there won't be any teahouses, so we'll set up a camp for you to spend overnight. During your stay in Kathmandu, you'll get a luxurious accommodation service.
Day 1- Drive to Chautara and trek to Chyo Kharka (2900m.)

Day 3 – Trek to Pachpokhari(4000m.)
Day 4 – Rest day
Day 5- Tinpokhari(4200)
Day 6 –Tilman High Camp. (4800m.)
Day 7- Dudhpokhari(4500m) via Tilman pass(5400m.)
Day 8 - Marine base camp. (4000m.)
Day 9 - Langshisha kharka(3900m)
Day 10- Kyangin gumba (3700m)
Day 11 - Rest day
Day 12 - Lama Hotel.(2400m.)
Day 13 - Syabrubeshi(1400m)
Day 14 - Drive back to Kathmandu , alt1300m
Day 1- Drive to Chautara and trek to Chyo Kharka (2900m.)
We'll have breakfast at the hotel, and drive a few minutes to catch up with the coach for Chautara with your mountain trekking guide and porters. After reaching Chautara, we start our trek to Chyo Kharka and spend overnight.
Day 2-Trek to Narshing Pati (3800m)
We commence our walk from the guesthouse where we walk a few hours uphill until we reach the Narshing Pati situated at an altitude of 3,800m. You can have spectacular mountain views from the Narshing Pati and spend overnight.
Day 3 – Trek to Pachpokhari(4000m.)
The trek climbs up through the rocky hills to arrive at the holiest place of our trek, Panch Pokhari. Panch Pokhari consists of five Lakes as the name says that are regarded as the holy lakes for the Hindu people. We spend overnight at Panch Pokhari admiring the beauty of it.
Day 4 – Rest day
This is the exploration day around Panch Pokhari. You can also choose this trek as make a pilgrimage trip to this place. The pristine environment, unspoiled nature where you'll get only positive vibes. Overnight at Panch Pokhari.
Day 5- Tinpokhari(4200)
The trek proceeds toward Tinpokhari. We conclude today's trek at Tinpokhari before heading towards Tilman High Camp.
Day 6 –Tilman High Camp. (4800m.)
The trail continues to go up through the rocky moraine making the most exciting and strenuous trek. Today's stopping point will be at Tilman High Camp. We'll make preparation for tomorrow's exciting trek. Overnight stay.
Day 7- Dudhpokhari(4500m) via Tilman pass(5400m.)
The day is the most awaiting and major highlights of the entire trek where we will be crossing Tilman High pass at 5,400m and descend to Dudhpokhari. The trek is challenging so you may require a rope, crampons, Jumar for crossing the pass. We conclude today's trek at Dudhpokhari.
Day 8 - Marine base camp. (4000m.)
Today's walk takes you to Moraine camp which is situated at the height of 4,000 meters above sea level where you can find high alpine vegetation and pure nature here. Overnight at Marine Base Camp.
Day 9 - Langshisha kharka(3900m)
The trail to Langshisha Kharka is easy and full of stone buildings and prayer flags. Langshisa Kharka is beautiful, and the surrounding mountains are constantly changing colors according to the sun's shifting position. Overnight at Langshisha Kharka.
Day 10- Kyangin gumba (3700m)
We cross some streams and a moraine to arrive at Kyanjin Gompa. Between Langtang and Kyanjin Gompa, one can witness the best views of Yansa Tsenji (6580m) and Kim shun (6750m) to the north and the Langtang Himal to the northwest. Overnight at Kyangin Gumba.
Day 11 - Rest day
This is your rest day at Kyangin Gumba where you can also take a hike up to Tserko Ri where you'll get to witness some of the spectacular mountains of the region including Langtang Lirung (7246m), Ganchenpo, Dorje Lakpa (6700m), (6400m), Langshisa Ri (6320m), Lenpo Gang (7100m), and Urkinmang (6170m). Overnight stay.
Day 12 - Lama Hotel.(2400m.)
On the way to Lama Hotel, you'll see Tibetan influenced culture and Tibetan-style village with stone- walls enclosing houses and fields. You'll see several yak pasture fields and spend overnight at Lama Hotel.
Day 13 - Syabrubeshi(1400m)
The trek descends back to Syabrubeshi from Lama hotel which is a relatively easy trek. We conclude today's trek at Syabrubeshi.
Day 14 - Drive back to Kathmandu , alt1300m
Finally, we drive back to the busy city Kathmandu and after Kathmandu arrival, we'll bid you farewell and help you to get your next destination.
