Situated 100 Km northwest from Kathmandu, It gives you an opportunity to explore the magnificent mountains such as Shringi (7,187m), Annapurna range, Ganesh Himal, Ngadi Chuli (7,871m), Buddha Himal, Himal Chuli (7,893m), rich in biodiversity and flora and fauna, history of the region as well as ancient art and culture. Tsum valley is a hidden valley in Manaslu Region and most popular as a revered pilgrimage destination, especially for Buddhists. The Tsum valley trek in Nepal attracts its trekkers with its rich cultural aspects on the backdrop of serene Himalayan panoramas, ancient Buddhist monasteries, artistic Chortens, and Mani walls. The best time for Tsum Valley Trek is Sep-Dec and Feb-May.
This trek starts with 7-8 hours of drive from Kathmandu to Arughat, which is the starting point of our adventure. And it goes through the lush and wild landscape, magnificent deep gorges, gompas, chortens, hamlets, and the glittering snow on the Himalayas. Even though the trail is a bit steeply and tough, magnificent natural surroundings will never let you down throughout the trek. The trek will take you up to Mu Gompa at an elevation of 3,700m, which is the highest point of our trek. Tsum Valley Trek is the best option to explore cultural as well as natural aspects of the Manaslu Region.

Food
During Tsum Valley Trek, you can have foods such as Dal Bhat Tarkari, potatoes, vegetables, pasta, noodles, cereals, eggs, fried rice, soup, etc. Basically, you will be provided with any common western or traditional dish you like to have from the menu card. But you can have more and varieties of food options during your stay in Kathmandu.
Accommodation
You will stay in 3-star hotels in Kathmandu with breakfast service and you'll also find numerous cafes and restaurants that provide a variety of dishes in the cities. You can go and explore them for lunch and dinner. But on climbing days, you'll sleep and eat in local tea houses with comfortable beds in twin sharing basis room with attach toilet bathroom.
After your arrival at the airport, you'll be greeted by our airport representative team who will drop us off at our hotel. After checking in the hotel, you can stroll in the streets of Thamel, a tourist hub in Kathmandu. Overnight at the hotel.
Arughat is 7-8 hour's drive away from Kathmandu. Today, we drive to Arughat via Dhadingbesi, headquarter of the Dhading district. The road is mostly dirt from Dhadingbesi. Arughat is a major town of the region and the starting point of most of the treks. Overnight at Arughat.
Today's walk mostly passes through Gurung and Magar villages on the free road. We follow the left bank of the Buru Gandaki, and you'll see the field of rice, and maize which are the main crops of the region. Finally, we arrive at Labu Besi for an overnight stay.
We walk on a gravel riverbed, passing through Machha Khola where there is a small lodge and we will have lunch there. We continue on the same side of the Buri Gandaki to reach Khorla Besi for an overnight stay.
We walk on a couple of ridges to reach Tatopani where there are natural hot water spouts under the sheer cliffs where you can enjoy natural hot water which heals all your muscle pain. Then we cross the Buri Gandaki on a rickety suspension bridge and reach Jagat for an overnight stay.
After reaching Lokpa from Jagat, you'll see the influence of Buddhist culture here. To reach Lokpa, we continue up-river on the left bank and cross Nepal’s longest suspension bridge to the east bank. Following the same trail for a while takes us to Lokpa for an overnight stay.
Early morning trek to Chumling descend for first half an hour to reach Lungwa khola and climb zig-zag difficult trail for two hours north through rhododendrons and pine forest to reach Gumlung also called as, lower Tsum, from where we can witness Shringi Himal. In the evening, we will also visit Chumling Gompa. Overnight stay.
After breakfast at a lodge, we start our trek to Chhokangparo which is a village situated on flat land with two settlements of Chhekam and Paro. From the Chhokangparo village, the Ganesh Himal range can be seen directly to the. Overnight stay.
On the way to Nile, we pass through the villages of Ngakyu. Leru, Lama Gaun and also visit a cave and pay and it is believed that saint Milarepa had meditated in the cave. We follow the fine trail to reach Nile for an overnight stay.
We are very close to the Tibetan border and we follow the west bank of the valley. On the way, we can see spectacular landscapes on the Tibetan sides. Then we ascend to the Mu Gompa visit Gompa and also visit the Dhephu Doma Gompa. Spend overnight at Mu Gompa after sightseeing around the Mu Gompa.
Today we'll visit Rachen Gompa while passing through Lar village, which is also known as Nunnery Gompa too. Then we cross over a suspension bridge and reach Chhekamparo via the same trail back. Stay overnight in Chhekamparo.
We cross a suspension bridge several times and climb the stone stairs and then drop to the river. Then climb over a ridge, and trek along the river to reach the village of Jagat. Overnight at a lodge in Jagat.
We begin our journey early morning and continue towards Lapubesi. It is an easy trail through terraced fields and pastures to reach Lapubesi for an overnight stay.
Today, we trek down to Arughat and it is our last day in this region. You can talk about memories, enjoy camping with your friends before moving to the same busy life. Overnight at Arughat.
Early morning drive Kathmandu goes along the banks of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers with splendid views of rolling hills, mountains, and farming fields. This is the last day of our trek so our team will bid you a farewell after reaching Kathmandu.
