The Tumlingtar to Lukla Trek begins from Tumlingtar and follows the Arun River until we reach into Irkhu Khola Valley. We pass through several Rai and Sherpa Village which is the best motivational aspect of this trekking route. This trekking itinerary takes you through colorful rhododendron forest, majestic waterfalls, and amazing landscapes of the Himalayas. Our trek continues ahead towards Salpa Pass. After exploring around Salpa Pass, we continue towards Lukla and explore the splendid view of Mt. Everest along with other mountains. We fly to Kathmandu from Lukla to end this trek.
The menu is a mixture of local, Indian, American and continental cuisines and the foods will be all home-cooked, hygienic, fresh, tasty and nutritious. You'll have a variety of options at the teahouse or lodge including popular Nepali Bhat, Pasta, Cereals, Eggs, Noodles, Potatoes, Vegetables, Fried rice, Soup, etc and other Nepali food, Chinese Food, American food, Indian food, Continental food, etc. We recommend you to have lemon tea, hot lemon, garlic soup, green tea, ginger tea, etc to stay away from high-altitude problems.
Accommodations during the Tumlingtar to Lukla Trek are at teahouses where you'll get the homely feeling and chance to explore Nepali culture and tradition. All the teahouses are run by locals and provide all the basic facilities including a hot shower at a low extra charge. You'll find all the room simple and comfortable usually with two beds with mattress blanket and pillows. Some will have an en-suit bathroom but most have shared bathrooms with the squat toilet in mountain areas. During your stay in Kathmandu, accommodation is more luxurious. You'll stay at hotels with a single room and attached bathrooms, 24 hours hot water, power, TV, and laundry facility.
