Detailed itinerary: A day-by-day exploration of Everest Three High Pass Trek

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (altitude 1300m.) (OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL IN KATHMANDU)
    Upon your arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by our airport representative and transferred to your hotel by private vehicle/jeep and bus. After a room at your hotel, you will meet your tour guide and give a brief explanation about the following. If you need last-minute shopping to prepare for a trip, you still have time and your guide will help you with everything before dinner.
     

  2. Day 2: Fly to Lukla and Trekking to Phakding (2610m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT AT TEAHOUSE)
    Early in the morning, we will board the plane from Kathmandu to Lukla, the starting point of the trek. We can reach Tenzing Hillary Airport in 35 minutes while enjoying the beautiful green scenery and white mountains. This is the most beautiful road in the world, which ends on a magnificent hillside surrounded by high mountains. When we arrive in Lukla, we will meet our porters and pack our bags before starting our journey from the rich village of Lukla to Phakding. Today we go for a walk to acclimatize ourselves to the weather. But if you want to do more sightseeing we will go to the nearby monasteries.
     

  3. Day 3: 5 to 6 hours Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, (at 3400m above sea level). (OVERNIGHT IN NAMCHE BAZAAR)
    After breakfast, we will start the trek. Today's trek will be good with a few short downhills and uphills, a few crossings of the Dudh Koshi river, and an early view of Mount Thamserku (6623/21729ft) from Benkar village. After crossing many bridges and following trekkers and locals, we will arrive at Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park. Then we will walk to Jorsale, the last village before Namche Bazaar. We will be crossing the riverbed to reach the Hillary Suspension Bridge. Then we’ll start to climb the mountain, to reach Namche Bazaar if the weather lasts until noon, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Namche, such as KwangdePeak nearby, Kusum Kangaru, Mount Everest, Lhotse, Tawache and many other peaks. We will sit for a while in the right place in Chordate and enjoy the panorama. We will spend the night in the colourful village of Namche Bazaar, the entrance to the Khumbu district.   4. Day 4: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (OVERNIGHT IN TEAHOUSE)
    After breakfast, we’ll warm up by walking 30-40 minutes from the hotel and you will arrive at the Sagarmatha National Park Office and Mount Everest Museum Center on the hill of Namche Bazaar to visit the museum and the National Park Office. From here you can also see the mighty Everest, Ama Dablam, also there are many beautiful peaks around like Mt Thamserku, Kusum Kangaroo Mountain, Kongde Peak and Khumbu-la.

    We’ll continue for another two hours to climb Mount Everest View Hotel to relax and enjoy a close-up of Mount Everest and other famous Himalayan peaks. Before returning to Namche Bazaar for lunch, you can enjoy hot tea at Everest View Hotel and enjoy the beautiful view of Mount Everest. In the afternoon you’ll have free time to visit the local market and the old monasteries in Namche.
     

  5. Day 5: 5 to 6 hours trek from Namche Bazaar to Debuche (3700 meters above sea level). (OVERNIGHT AT TEAHOUSE)
    Today's route offers a beautiful view of the Himalayan peaks. During your trip, you will see some of the greatest Himalayan peaks such as Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Tenseku and Quandek. Walking through the juniper and rhododendron forests, this hike is unforgettable as huge peaks appear above your head.

    Today we will have the opportunity to visit one of the largest temples in Nepal's Khumbu region. The monastery is open every day after 16:00, they have a puja ceremony and you can participate in the puja. Here, after an hour, we will take a short walk to the village of Debuche Sherpa for an overnight stay.
     

  6. Day 6: 6 hours of trekking from Debuche to Dingbuche Village (4410m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT AT TEAHOUSE)
    In the morning we will leave Debuche and trek to Dingbuche. We will be stopping at Somare Sherpa village for lunch. We will trek for 3 hours before lunch and 2 hours after lunch. We will spend most of the day seeing the beauty of Ama Dablam, you will have a good opportunity to take beautiful pictures as we meet many Sherpas who have climbed the mountain. Dingboche is a well-known park for trekkers in the Everest region. You can visit the historic monasteries, and enjoy the mountain view, there are many things to do here.
     

  7. Day 7: Resting in Dingboche, hiking (4410m above sea level) to Nagarjung mountain at an altitude of more than 5000m. (OVERNIGHT IN TEAHOUSE)
    One more vacation to Dingboche, where we’ll learn more about the Sherpa culture, traditions and lifestyles of the mountain people. After breakfast, we will take a short 3- to 4-hour hike to Mount Nagarjuna before lunch. After lunch, it's time to explore Dingboche, visit nearby villages, etc. You will have some free time.
     

  8. Day 8: 2 hours trek from Dingboche to Chhukung (4730m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT AT TEAHOUSE)
    You can set off late this morning as it only takes 2 to 3 hours to walk from Dingbuche to Chhukung village (4730m). As it is an easy and relaxing day, we will arrive at lunchtime, rest more and take a short hike to Chhukung ri peak (5540m) before dinner. Tomorrow we will be crossing one of the three high passes on this trek (Khongmala la pass alt. 5560m). We'll have dinner early and go to bed.
     

  9. Day 9: 8 to 9 hours trek from Chhukung to Kongma-La pass (5535m above sea level) and then to Lobuche (4900m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT AT TEAHOUSE)
    The last day is coming. Today you will be crossing the first mountain pass of this trek, the 5,535m high Kongma La Pass. The feeling of going through the Kongma La Pass is incredible and the view of the mountains is spectacular.

    Today you will be waking up early in the morning, and then walking on the icy road, then we walk on the stone path below the Kongma La Pass (5535m above sea level) and then cross the Kongma La Pass at 5535m, sandwiched between the Nuptse Peak Wall and Mount Mohare and Pokalde. After climbing the Khumbu Glacier and the moraine (bedrock), we will be hiking to the bottom of the Khumbu Glacier and arriving at Lobuche, where we will spend the night in a hotel.
     

  10. Day 10: 8 to 9 hours trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and back to Gorakshep at 5100m (OVERNIGHT IN GORAKSHEP)
    We start the day after breakfast and walk to Gorekshep 2-3 hours later. Here we will have a hot lunch, and after lunch, we will continue hiking to Everest Base Camp (5364m above sea level), of course, you will be tired but you will be satisfied with the beautiful view of Khumbu Glacier, surrounding hills and the base camp.

    It is the important day of our hike, as we will be visiting the base camp of Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. We cannot see the summit of Mount Everest from here, but the surrounding beauties will make you happy then, we will be returning to Gorakshep at night.

  11. Day 11: Morning hike to Kala Patthar viewpoint (5550m above sea level), followed by 6-7 hours trek to Zongla (4800m above sea level). (OVERNIGHT AT Zongla)
    In the morning we will walk to the Kala Patthar Viewpoint to watch the sunrise before the sun embraces us. As usual, it takes 3 hours to reach Kala Patthar on foot. When you reach Kala Patthar at 5,550m above sea level, you can enjoy the best view of Mount Everest  (8848m above sea level), Nuptse (7930m above sea level), Lhotse (8516m above sea level), Everest Ama Dablam (alt. At 6812 m above sea level), Mount Cholaste (6440 m above sea level), surrounded by many beautiful Himalayan peaks. After exploring the beautiful scenery and sunrise, you will walk back to the tea house in Gorekshep for about 1.5 hours, then after breakfast, you will walk for 4 to 5 hours to Zongla via Lobuche for an overnight stay.

  12. Day 12: 7 to 8 hours Trek to Thagnak (4700m above sea level) through Chola Pass (5360m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT IN TEAHOUSE)
    On the 12th, we will cross the second main high pass of our trek. After breakfast, we will start the day very early. Usually, we have to go in the morning to shelter from the wind and get the best view from the top of the gorge. In the first part of our journey today, we will walk on a flat plain for about 1 hour.

    Then we will climb to the top of the Cho la Pass. We have to walk for about an hour through massive ice and snow before reaching the top. While at the summit you will enjoy views of Mount Everest, Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Cholastse, Mount Twache and more. Then we will descend for another 3 hours to reach Thagnak. This road is mostly rocky and rough, so we must walk carefully, sometimes rocks also fall from the mountain, so the trekkers often called Chola Pass, one of the most dangerous high passes among the three passes in the Everest Region.

    Cho la Pass (5630m above sea level) is another essential part of our journey that is both challenging and rewarding. We will Trek to Thagnak at night after crossing the Cho La Pass.
     

  13. Day 13: 3 hours trek to Lake Gokyo from Thagnak (4700m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT IN TEA HOUSE)
    Today is a short trek, we will be walking for only 2-3 hours until Lake Gokyo. We will be walking from Thagnak to Gokyo Lake enjoying the tranquillity of Gokyo Lake and its surroundings. The environment is unspoilt and full of beauty. We will walk along the Great Ngozumpa Glacier between Thaknak and Lake Gokyo. It has been draining from  Cho Yuo, the sixth-highest mountain in the world. When we reach the beautiful Gokyo Lake, we can enjoy the beauty of the nearby Gokyo Lake and Cho Yuo Mountain.
     

  14. Day 14: 3 to 4 hours early morning Trek to Gokyo-Ri (5360m above sea level) and return to Gokyo Lake. 
    In the early morning, we will be walking to the Gokyo ri viewpoint (5360m above sea level) to enjoy the beautiful sunrise over the whole Mount Everest and Gokyo Valley.

    Gokyo Ri is another favourite place in the Everest region and you will get another best view from the top of Gokyo Ri. You will not miss any mountain view from the top. It takes 3 hours to get to the top of the pass and 1 hour to return to the teahouse. In the afternoon we will return to Gokyo to rest and prepare for the last leg of the Renjo la pass
     

  15. Day 15: 7- 8 hours trek from Lake Gokyo to Lungden via Renjo la pass (5361m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT AT TEAHOUSE)
    Day 15 is the last challenging day of the journey. You need to put in more effort to get the most out of it. Today we will be crossing the third high pass and the last pass of our journey. It usually takes 3 to 4 hours to reach the top of the Renjo la pass. We will be stopping at the summit to enjoy the beauty of the Everest mountains as a whole, including the beautiful Gokyo Lake. After crossing the Renjo La Pass and exploring the panorama, we will be walking for another 3 hours to our final stop
     

  16. Day 16: 3 hours trek from Lungden to Thame (3820m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT AT TEAHOUSE)
    Today we will walk from Lungden to Thame which is more easy than the previous walk. The journey from Lungden to Thame once again brings us closer to the magnificent scenery of the Himalayas in the Everest region. Thame was very popular in the ancient Sherpa villages of the Everest region. Most of the climbers of this great mountain such as Kamirita Sherpa, and Apa Sherpa were born in this village. Around Thame Village, you can visit the ancient monastery, which is the precious land of the Sherpas, explore the village and get to know the local Sherpas. This is an incredible opportunity to meet real Sherpas and see their daily lives with your own eyes.
     

  17. Day 17: 4 hours trek from Thame to Namche Bazaar (3400m above sea level ) (OVERNIGHT AT TEA HOUSE)
    Another short day trip on three high treks of Mount Everest, you can start without getting up quickly in the morning because the trip is over and the three-day trek is better and more comfortable. You had a tough and difficult day. So today we will start the day in the morning and go to Namche about 4 hours before lunch. Another great opportunity to explore the Sherpa culture, hospitality and lifestyle of the mountain people. Night at Namche Bazaar gives an insight into the culture of the area. at night
     
  18. Day 18: 6-7 hours trek from Namche to Lukla (2780m above sea level) (OVERNIGHT IN LUKLA)
    We will trek to Lukla, passing through many local habitats, rhododendrons and pine forests, and you can meet many bird species and wild animals. From Phakding, where we will stop for lunch, we will continue to Lukla with a 3-hour final stop. This concludes our journey and you will return to Kathmandu the next morning.
     

  19. Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu.
    This is the final day of our trek where you will be flying to Kathmandu over mountains. There are representatives who will transfer you to your hotel. Therefore, we will assist you to your next destination for your following plans, further excursions and travel in Kathmandu, Pokhara etc, or if you fly back to your home, you will be taken to the airport according to your flight time.
